Tenacity, Grit and Determination win Queens Cup for Apes Hill.
Apes Hill scored a sensational 7th Chukka Queens Cup victory in front of an apoplectic, 10,000 strong crowd at Guards last Sunday. The victory was the realisation of Sir Charles Williams' dream of High Goal success and came in only the team's third season, an outstanding achievement. Throughout the tournament the team had gelled and were battle hardened having come through tough Quarter and Semi Final encounters. Playing for each other, they fought for every play and despite some on occasions unsporting plays from Sumaya emerged winners on merit by 12 goals to 11. Miles Underwood |
