Beaufort continue to innovate with pioneering pre-season training course

Beaufort Polo Club will be running a pre season training course at Down Farm in early April in order to

help players get ready for the new season.  The course is the brainchild of England International, Mark

Tomlinson. "It is difficult for a lot of players to get prepared as some may not be able to get as much

time in the saddle as they would like over the winter".  Players are invited to bring their own ponies,

however there are a limited number availiable for hire. The course runs for two days and is limited to

20 players and willl be taught by some of the Uks top coaches.  The course covers;

Riding

Hitting

Fitness (Of horse and rider)

Rules and tactics

Sports Psychology

The course covers not just the traditional Polo content but also focusses on player fitness and

flexibility. "Those coming will be doing fitness drills, we will have a trainer here on site, a Pilates

instructor to cover flexibility and a renowned sports psychologist -  there really is no other course like

it."

JLS Fancy One Shot at the Beaufort!

JLS visit the Beaufort!

Chart-topping boyband JLS took time out of their busy schedule last season to visit the Beaufort Polo Club for a change of
scenery ahead of their live concert at the Westonbirt Arboretum.

Aston, JB, Marvin and Ortise enjoyed a special lunch in the Club House courtesy of Green Fig catering, and then
embarked upon a tour of the yard meeting the grooms and polo ponies. The boys have not played polo before but found
the whole experience fascinating and were soon getting into the swing of things in their Beaufort Polo Club hoodies.

The band gladly posed for photographs and signed autographs before heading down the road to make their preparations
for that evening's concert. For more details and news about JLS visit www.jlsofficial.com
