THE 3 CHOIRS FESTIVAL POLO DAY in association with ACORNS CHILDRENS HOSPICE FRIDAY 27th JUNE 2008

The fifth charity polo day for 2008 sees an old beneficiary in Acorns team up with the Three Choirs Festival. Funds for the day will go towards the Festival which is to be held in Worcester later this year (August 2nd – 9th) and Acorns Children’s Hospice who offer a network of care to life limited children and support for their families in the heart of the country.

The Three Choirs Festival Charity objectives have traditionally been connected with the needs of clergy families, particularly widows and orphans. In recent times more adequate state and church provision for widows and orphans has lessened the need for this particular aspect of charity. However, clerical families are not immune from the hazards of debt, difficulty and marital breakdown, and since the families live in tied property special problems often arise which need rapid solution.
